Motor Vehicle Warranty Insurance

Occasionally you can find yourself in a situation where your vehicle has an unexpected mechanical failure. Depending on the kind of failure, this may result in a substantial unplanned financial outlay.

We have a warranty insurance product available –Warranty Insurance 5 Star, designed to provide cover similar to the manufacturer’s warranty and after it has ended. The warranties can provide you with protection for the costs of unforeseen mechanical failure during the period of cover, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the relative cover plan.

We may also reimburse the costs associated with towing, car hire, and in some cases accommodation.

Eric’s Tyre & Wheel Insurance can cover you for the cost of repairs needed as a result of tyre or wheel damage. Eric may also cover towing, car hire and accommodation costs.

The following eligibility rules apply to Eric Motorcycle Insurance

  • Motorcycle no older than 15 years
  • Motorcycle to not have pre-existing damage
  • Motorcycle not used for excluded purpose (Courier / Business Use / Hire (including Rideshare) / Rental / Delivery / Emergency vehicle / racing)
  • Motorcycle to be registered & roadworthy (recreation registration is acceptable for motorcycles)
  • Rider(s) to be licensed (as per the rules in relevant state or territory)
  • Rider(s) to have a driving and accident history that is acceptable to our underwriters

    The following eligibility rules apply to Eric Car Insurance

  • Vehicle no older than 20 years
  • Vehicle to not have pre-existing damage
  • Vehicle not used for excluded purpose (Courier / Business Use / Hire (including Rideshare) / Rental / Delivery / Emergency vehicle / racing)
  • Vehicle to be registered & roadworthy
  • Driver(s) to be licensed (as per the rules in relevant state or territory)
  • Driver(s) to have a driving and accident history that is acceptable to our underwriters

    • Vehicle not used for excluded purpose (Competitions / Rallies / Racing / Pace making / Reliability trials / Speed or Hill climbing / Car Rental / Conveying passengers for hire or reward / Delivery / Courier / Police or Emergency Vehicles / Driver instruction or tuition for hire or reward / Mining or Excavation Activity / Activity outside of Australia / Carrying and or towing loads above manufacturer recommendation)

    • For 36 month warranty term, vehicle odometer reading must be less than 100,000kms
    • Vehicle to be registered & roadworthy
    • Vehicle not used for excluded purpose (Competitions / Rallies / Racing / Pace making / Reliability trials / Speed or Hill climbing / Car Rental / Conveying passengers for hire or reward / Delivery / Courier / Police or Emergency Vehicles / Driver instruction or tuition for hire or reward / Mining or Excavation Activity / Activity outside of Australia / Carrying and or towing loads above manufacturer recommendation)
    • Vehicle is not a repairable or statutory write-off

    • Motorcycle no older than 8 years of age
    • For 12 month warranty term, motorcycle odometer reading must be less than 25,000kms
    • For 24 month warranty term, motorcycle odometer reading must be less than 20,000kms
    • Policy holder at least 18 years of age
    • Motorcycle to be registered, roadworthy, and not have off-road capability
    • Motorcycle not used for excluded purposes (Competitions / Rallies / Racing / Pace making / Reliability trials / Speed or Hill climbing / Rental / Conveying passengers for hire or reward / Delivery / Courier / Police or Emergency Vehicles / Rider instruction or tuition for hire or reward / Activity outside of Australia / Carrying and or towing loads above manufacturer recommendation)
    • Motorcycle is not a repairable or statutory write-off
