eric is committed to assisting our customers who may be affected by domestic/family violence. This can include physical, sexual, emotional, financial and/or psychological violence. Our customers safety and keeping our customers protected is our priority.

Experiencing violence? Here’s how we can help

Eric Insurance Limited (eric), is committed to having a conversation with you about your situation and advise you on how we can assist you. At eric, we understand that this is a complex and personal matter to speak about, but we will endeavour to support you through this difficult situation.

When you call eric, if you have identified yourself as being in a situation of domestic or family violence, we will:

  • Check if it is safe to continue speaking
    We will ask you if it is safe to continue speaking about your situation, or if there is an alternate number or time you would prefer us to call you on.
  • Protect your privacy
    At eric, we will treat any information you give us confidentially. eric has in place strict process around managing our customers privacy. If you are facing family violence, you can rest assured that your personal information will not be disclosed to a third party unless authorised by you.
  • Handle claims with sensitivity
    At eric, we are clear and transparent about our claims process and what information we require of you to progress this. We will ensure that any payments for your claim goes to you or your authorised nominee.
  • Assist with financial hardship
    If due to your situation you face financial hardship, at eric, we have a Financial Hardship Policy in place to assist you.

Our goal is to help our customers during this difficult time. To fully understand your situation, we may need to ask you questions about your circumstances or request supporting documentation.  Please know that this information is strictly confidential.
